This procurement opportunity is for the replacement of a deep-well pump system at the Tepee Work Center in the Black Hills National Forest, South Dakota. - Government Buyer: - US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Black Hills National Forest, Hell Canyon Ranger District - Project Scope: - Removal of the existing submersible well pump system set at 921 feet - Installation of a new 5 HP deep-well submersible pump (installed at 820-880 feet) - Installation of approximately 900-950 feet of submersible pump cable - Installation of torque arrestors, centralizers, and stainless-steel check valves - Installation of a new pump control system (with overload protection, surge protection, and pressure switch or optional VFD control) - Services Required: - Pump removal and inspection (including drop pipe, cabling, and check valves) - Disinfection and bacteriological testing of the well - Performance testing and commissioning to verify required flow and pressure - Documentation and reporting (as-built documentation, test results, warranty information, O&M manuals) - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be a South Dakota licensed well driller or pump installer - Key personnel must include a licensed pump installer, electrician, and well technician experienced with deep wells over 800 feet - Warranty: 12 months for materials and workmanship; 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the pump - All labor, materials, equipment, and testing to be provided by the contractor - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are specified in the solicitation documents - All work must comply with safety, environmental, and quality control requirements

This information is found in the Attachments/Links section.  Quotes are due by JUNE 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time. Submit Quotes by the due date/time to the POCs: Janice King, Contract Specialist, at janice.king@usda.gov and to Lucas Dahlman, the Contracting Officer, at lucas.dahlman@usda.gov. 

JUNE 3, 2026:  AMENDMENT ONE (A0001) - Please read this AMENDMENT (A0001) in its entirety as it moves the due dates up for questions and quote submissions. In addition, the POP has been amended and a site visit added for this project. AMENDMENT ONE (A0001) is located in the Attachments/Links.

Description of Work:  The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing, and documentation necessary for the removal of the existing and replacement of a new deep-well pump system for a 921-foot well, including the installation of a new 5 HP submersible pump and associated controls.
