NOAA seeks nominations to fill vacancies on the Ocean Exploration Advisory Board (OEAB), which advises NOAA leadership on ocean science, exploration, and policy matters including survey, discovery, collaboration, strategic planning, proposal review, market barriers, and data management. Members are appointed by the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator, ensuring balanced representation among scientists, engineers, educators, and policy experts from academia, government, industry, non-profits, and other ocean-related institutions. Terms are generally three years, renewable once. Nominations must be received within 45 days of the notice publication and should be sent via email to the designated federal officer.
