The Assistant Secretary--Indian Affairs approved the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma Business Leasing Ordinance under the Helping Expedite and Advance Responsible Tribal Homeownership Act of 2012 (HEARTH Act). This approval authorizes the Tribe to enter into leases without further approval from the Secretary of the Interior.
