Description

The Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District (MetroLINK) is soliciting proposals for the design, shipyard RFP support, and commissioning of one battery-electric small passenger ferry. The project includes identifying and specifying the make and model of one charging station to support the ferry and coordinating the installation of the electrical infrastructure required for the charging system, which will be furnished and installed by others. The vessel must be Coast Guard compliant, designed for operation on the Mississippi River between Lock and Dam 14 and 15, and delivered by November 15, 2028. The project is funded in part by the USEPA, IEPA, and Illinois DCEO and requires compliance with applicable federal and state procurement and regulatory requirements.
