Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), operated by Brookhaven Science Associates under the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting quotes for a Maskless Optical Writer system for advanced photolithography applications at its Center for Functional Nanomaterials. - Government Buyer: - Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (BSA), operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under the U.S. Department of Energy - Procurement managed by BNL's Procurement and Property Management Division - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) Tabletop Maskless Optical Writer system (no substitutes permitted) - Designed for sub-micrometer photoresist patterning without physical photomasks - Must support raster and vector modes, 2D and limited 3D patterning, overlay exposure - Features include UV LED (365 nm, 5W+), diode lasers (350-410 nm, 70 mW+), vacuum chucks for substrates (5x5 mm to 150x150 mm), anti-vibration tables, high-precision cameras, optical autofocus, and grayscale exposure (up to 256 levels) - Includes Windows 11 computer with GUI and control software - Safety features: protective housing, interlocks, compliance with electrical and laser safety standards (NFPA 70/70E) - Services: - Engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and documentation - Installation and integration of all components, including cabling and piping - Training for two BSA staff over three days during commissioning - One-year warranty - Unique/Notable Requirements: - No substitutes allowed for the Maskless Optical Writer - Strict quality assurance per BNL-QA-101 and ISO 9001 or equivalent certification required - Contractor must have experience fabricating and testing comparable systems and a U.S.-based service engineer network - System must demonstrate pattern writing quality and alignment accuracy - Delivery and packaging instructions include advance notification for heavy/oversized shipments - Tax-exempt purchase - Place of Performance/Delivery: - Brookhaven National Laboratory, Center for Functional Nanomaterials, Upton, NY (including Receiving: Building 98 Rochester St) - Period of Performance: - Delivery anticipated within approximately 22 weeks post-award, with key milestones for design, testing, delivery, commissioning, and training
