Description
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) intends to establish an ancient DNA for Modern Genomics (aDMG) program to create an ethical resource of ancient and historical human DNA data. The program aims to advance studies on contemporary human traits and biology by integrating ancient DNA with modern human and other species' data. Applications are solicited to leverage existing and newly generated ancient DNA data to improve understanding of modern human diseases and health-related traits. Collaborative investigations combining expertise in DNA sequencing, computational genomics, human evolution, and ancient populations are encouraged.
