Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), under the Department of Energy, is seeking a subcontractor to replace an FFDG-supplied process chiller at its Batavia, Illinois facility. - Government Buyer: - Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG), operating at Fermilab, with procurement and construction management offices involved - Department of Energy (DOE) oversight - OEMs and Vendors: - The primary Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specified is AEC, with the AEC GPL07A Packaged Chiller provided by FFDG for installation - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and replacement of the existing process chiller at E-Cool Service Building 31 (MI-31) - Installation of one (1) AEC GPL07A Packaged Chiller (part number: AEC GPL07A) - Associated mechanical and electrical work, including demolition, rigging, commissioning, testing, and project closeout - All labor, supervision, equipment, safety oversight, quality control, transportation, bonding, and insurance - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with NFPA 70E electrical safety standards - Buy American Act requirements apply - Small business set-aside under NAICS code 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors) - Firm fixed price contract with bid guarantee and payment bond - FFDG will supply the chiller unit and certain site services (e.g., electrical power, utility locates) - Key personnel must have relevant construction and safety experience - Place of Performance: - All work to be performed at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, specifically E-Cool Service Building 31 (MI-31), Batavia, Illinois

Description

The Subcontractor shall perform all work as described in the Statement of Work titled  for the  Replace FFDG-Supplied Process Chiller and  Attachment 2- Notes for Project “Replace FFDG-Supplied Process Chiller”   All work shall include transportation, overhead, bonding costs, insurance, safety oversight, quality control oversight, and supervision as required to construct the project described in the scope of work, and the detailed description contained herein.
