Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award to Aquatic Analysts (Cage Code: 55158), 16603 NE 50TH Ave Vancouver, Washington 98686-1845.  This acquisition is being conducted under RFO FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services (IAW FAR 12.201-1) for Electric Fish Barrier System.

In order to maintain consistency with research under previous contracts, this requirement is anticipated to be issued for a follow-on contract for electric fish barrier system

The Environmental Laboratory (EL) is recognized worldwide as the problem solver in environmental science and engineering research for US Army, the Department of Defense, and the Nation. R&D activities address a multitude of environmental issues to advance civil works, water resources, military installations, and the warfighter.  Research activities include ecosystem restoration, ecological resources, and contaminant management, risk and decision science, environmental sensing, ecological modeling and forecasting, environmental security, and environmentally sustainable material.

The Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC), Environmental Laboratory (EL), Aquatic Ecology and Invasive Species Branch (EEA) is seeking to purchase an electric fish barrier system to conduct research related to fish deterrence of invasive fish species in natural waterways. This system shall be shipped to ERDC within the specified timeline “Electric Fish Barrier System”.

This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 12.201-1. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement.  The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19.5 Million.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.  However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar product.  All capability statements received by the closing date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
