The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), under the Department of the Interior, is seeking a design-build contractor for a major renovation and addition to the Vale District Office in Vale, Oregon. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, National Operations Center, Architecture & Engineering Branch (OC-671) - Project Scope: - Design-build services for renovation and a 1,051 sq ft addition to the Vale District Office - Demolition, site and building design, utility work, construction administration, quality control, commissioning, and project closeout - Interior reconfiguration to provide 77 cubicle workstations and 9 private offices - Upgrades to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression, data communications, access control, and security systems - Sustainable design and energy efficiency compliance (including ENERGY STAR appliances) - Contractor to incorporate government-furnished modular workstations (Steelcase Inc. Answer Line and Unicor Classic XXI) and coordinate installation of new modular workstations - Temporary facilities to be provided during construction - Products/Equipment: - Modular workstations (Steelcase Inc. Answer Line, Unicor Classic XXI, and new workstations) - Electric refrigerator/freezer (ADA/ABA compliant, ENERGY STAR, stainless steel) - Dishwasher (built-in, stainless steel, AHAM DW-1 compliant) - 35-foot aluminum flagpole (120 mph wind rating) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Use of both government-furnished used and new modular workstations - Compliance with federal codes, energy efficiency, and security standards - Coordination with multiple federal facilities for equipment transport and installation - No specific OEMs for appliances or flagpole are mandated, but Steelcase Inc. and Unicor are specified for modular workstations.
