Description

Sources Sought: 1171683 The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is requesting information regarding the purchase of GPS collars to track data for the mongoose for a research study. The USDA, Wildlife Services, National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) has recently developed a highly efficacious mongoose control product approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for field efficacy trials under an Experimental Use Permit (EUP). The EUP requires mongoose tracking data, through the use of GPS collars.  The U.S. Commonwealth Puerto Rico will use the GPS collared mongoose data to update their invasive species mongoose trapping program.  Please review the attached draft Statement of Work for further information.  

If you are an interested vendor, please provide the following information:

1) Business name and point of contact; 2) UEI number and CAGE code; 3) business size; and 4) a brief statement of capability not more than three pages to included but not limited to:  

A.  A sample of the GPS collars to be used

B.  Past performance information on contracts of same scope

C.  Have provided similar GPS collars to other agencies

Interested vendors should only provide the data requested. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary information in any resultant solicitation(s). Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature.

This is not a request for proposals, but instead market research to determine interested vendors prior to issuing a solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334290.  Pricing information if provided is for estimation purposes only. A determination by the Government on the method of competing this requirement has not been established. The Government will not award a contract based on this Sources Sought Notice or the information received, nor will it reimburse participants for the information they provide. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
