The California Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking a qualified food service provider to lease and operate the cafeteria at the Ronald Reagan State Building in Los Angeles. - Government Buyer: - California Department of General Services (DGS), Facilities Management Division and Real Estate Services Division - Offices involved: State Owned Leasing & Development, Real Estate Services Division - Facility Details: - Location: Ronald Reagan State Building, 300 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013 - Total space: Approximately 13,623 square feet (includes kitchen, storage, and dining areas) - State-owned equipment provided: refrigerators, freezers, sinks, counters, dishwashers, fire suppression system, cold pan module, food prep counters, serving counters with food warmers, stands, sneeze guards, waste/trash receptacles, tables, and chairs - Products/Services Requested: - Operation of a full-service cafeteria providing healthy, fresh, and nutritious food options (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, grab-n-go, online ordering, catering, and special events) - Lessee to provide all labor, additional equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, permits/licenses, and maintenance - Compliance with health and safety codes, LEED O&M sustainability standards, and use of recyclable/compostable materials - Alcoholic beverages prohibited during daily operations - Ability to provide catering and delivery services within the building - Partnerships between multiple food providers allowed (single point of contact required) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mandatory pre-bid conference/walkthrough - Sustainability and LEED O&M compliance is mandatory - Lessee responsible for insurance, permits, and regulatory compliance - Rent-free setup period prior to lease commencement - Early termination by either party with 60 days' notice - No specific OEMs or commercial food brands are named in the solicitation.

The cafeteria space includes an existing food service cafeteria (~5,960 SF) and an exclusive dining area (~7,578 SF), totaling approximately 13,623 SF. The State seeks a qualified food service provider to offer healthy, fresh, nutritious food options and excellent customer service, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, grab-n-go, online ordering, catering, and events.
