Description
This solicitation supports previous NIH SBIR or STTR Phase II recipients by providing funding to bridge the gap between Phase II and commercialization, known as the "Valley of Death." Applicants must secure 100% third-party matching funds from new private capital or government funding excluding prior SBIR/STTR awards. The award facilitates follow-on R&D with strong commercial potential aligned with NIH missions. Clinical trials are optional but must be accepted by the relevant NIH Institutes or Centers.
