The U.S. Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, Site Sasebo, is seeking qualified contractors in Japan for the replacement of ventilation ducts aboard the USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18). - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, Site Sasebo - Scope of Work: - Replacement of ventilation ducts for the Supply System (SS-31) and Exhaust System (ES-92) on USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18) - Includes removal and installation of galvanized steel spiral round ducts, terminals, gaskets, and related accessories - Work to be performed in storerooms and passage areas aboard the ship - Products/Materials Requested: - Extensive list of ductwork components, including spiral round ducts (various diameters and gauges), elbows, terminals, vent terminals with dampers, gaskets, bolts, nuts, metal sheets, glass cloth, adhesives, and access hatches - Notable part numbers: SAPTE0251, SAPTE0253, SAPTE0255, SAPTE0258, SAPTE0261, SAPTE0264, SAPTE0267, SAPTE0270, SAPTE0275, SAPTE0276, and others - Quantities range from 1 to 100+ for various items (e.g., 70 units of 125mm spiral round duct, 100 bolts, 30 units of 100mm spiral round duct) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) and Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holders authorized to operate in Japan are eligible - Offerors must demonstrate authorization to perform work in Japan and compliance with Japanese laws and regulations - The government will furnish certain materials for the work - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial manufacturers are named in the solicitation or attachments - Place of Performance: - Work will be performed at Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS), Sasebo, Japan, and aboard the USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18) - Period of Performance: - Work is scheduled to begin in late July and conclude by the end of October (approx. 3 months)

Place of performance: Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS) in Japan.

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka, Site Sasebo, intends to issue a competitive solicitation restricted to Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) and Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holders located in Japan.

In accordance with DFARS 225.1103(3), this procurement is intended only for sources duly authorized to operate and do business in Japan. 

To be eligible for award, offerors must be able to demonstrate their authorization to perform the required work within Japan at the time of proposal submission.
