Parks Canada Agency requires herbicide application for the invasive aquatic plant Water Soldier at the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site. The infestation covers approximately 55 linear kilometers of the waterway and 33.5 hectares within the Bay of Quinte. The contract involves herbicide treatment using diquat (Reward™) and runs from award to June 30, 2027, with an option to extend by up to two additional one-year periods. A bidders' conference will be held on June 12, 2026, via Teams to review the scope and answer questions. Work must comply with the National Park Act.
