The National Research Council Canada (NRC) is seeking a turnkey Gas Compression and Recovery System (GCRS) for its Vancouver facility to support cyclic pressure testing of gas pipelines with natural gas and hydrogen blends. - Government Buyer: - National Research Council Canada (NRC) - Contracting managed by NRC personnel - Products and Equipment Requested: - Complete Gas Compression and Recovery System (GCRS) for pipelines 2–20 inches in diameter - Must handle gas mixtures from 0–100% hydrogen, with pressures up to 2,900 psi - Includes gas storage tanks, compressors, mixing tanks, control systems, electrical components, interconnecting piping, and safety instrumentation - Integration with NRC's existing safety systems is required - Auxiliary and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment (e.g., valve boxes, dosing tanks, ancillary components) - Documentation package (technical specifications, installation/maintenance manuals, CAD models, certification documents) - Services Required: - Project management from contract award through acceptance - Factory acceptance testing (FAT) at supplier's facility with NRC representatives - Delivery, installation, integration, and commissioning at NRC Vancouver - On-site training for up to five NRC personnel (in English) - Preventive maintenance and repair services during warranty (minimum one year from commissioning) - Unique and Notable Requirements: - System must comply with Canadian and international codes (e.g., CAN/BNQ 1784-000, CSA B51, ASME B31.12, IEC 60079-10-1) - Environmental packaging specifications must be met - Supplier must have experience with hydrogen systems and vibration mitigation - All deliverables required within 36 weeks of contract award; installation and commissioning within 7 days of delivery; training within 60 days post-installation - Only Canadian and eligible trading partner suppliers may bid - Place of Performance and Delivery: - NRC facility at 4250 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC - Warranty and Support: - Minimum one-year warranty with preventive maintenance, repair, and technical support

Description

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is seeking to procure a complete, fully integrated Gas Compression and Recovery System (GCRS) to support cyclic pressure testing of gas pipelines ranging from 2 to 20 inches in diameter. The system will be installed, integrated, and commissioned to operate with various gas compositions including natural gas and hydrogen blends. The GCRS must comply with multiple safety and technical standards, and all deliverables are expected within 46 weeks of contract award. The contract duration is estimated to be 11 months starting from September 1, 2026, and the procurement is open to Canadian suppliers and suppliers from applicable trading partners only.
