The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct an environmental scan of Alberta's engineering and geoscience professions for the 2026–2036 period. The project includes demand projections, occupational analysis, supply modeling, industry-driver analysis, and assessment of impacts from AI, automation, demographic changes, migration, retirement trends, post-secondary enrollment, and economic conditions. Deliverables include a labour-market environmental scan, internal summary, editable charts and tables, a prioritization session, and a multi-year research roadmap. Vendors may use external data sources and should demonstrate experience in relevant research and analysis fields. Optional additional work may include AI deep dives, demographic modeling, and economic scenario modeling.
