The City of North Charleston is seeking bids for resurfacing and site improvements at the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center and surrounding roadways. - Government Buyer: - City of North Charleston, North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center - South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) involved for permitting and specifications - Products/Services Requested: - Asphalt pavement installation for parking lots and roadways - Curbing and drainage infrastructure, including 15-inch reinforced concrete storm pipe and 5 storm drainage catch basins/drop inlets - Full-depth patching with SCDOT-approved asphalt mix (Intermediate Type C) - Decorative stamped crosswalks using TrafficPatterns XD thermoplastic or approved equivalent - Permanent pavement markings with SCDOT-compliant thermoplastic materials - Design-build services for converting a gravel lot into a fully improved parking facility - Horticultural/arborist services for tree evaluation and mitigation - Traffic control services, including signage, flaggers, and lane closures per SCDOT and MUTCD standards - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Phased construction to maintain partial site access and minimize event disruptions - Coordination with the City to accommodate ongoing and upcoming events - Night work may be required for certain phases - Bid bond of at least 5% of total bid; 100% performance and payment bonds required - SCDOT encroachment permit required - Arborist involvement to protect existing trees - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors mandated; TrafficPatterns XD (Ennis-Flint) cited as a reference for crosswalk material - Quantities: - 5 storm drainage catch basins/drop inlets - Locations: - North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center and adjacent streets (Etna Street, Amsterdam Street, Tony Way Blvd, Ozark Street, West Montague Avenue)
