Minnesota Statewide Pest Control Services for Government and Military Facilities

The State of Minnesota Department of Administration is seeking proposals for comprehensive statewide pest control services for government facilities, including military bases and federally owned buildings. - Government Buyer: - State of Minnesota Department of Administration, Office of State Procurement, Facilities Management Division - Scope of Services: - Pest control for insects (roaches, ants, silverfish, beetles, crickets, fruit flies, stored product pests, flies, bees, wasps, hornets, spiders, and other arthropods not excluded) - Control of commensal and semi-commensal rodents (mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks) - Excludes invasive plants, bed bugs, spongy moths, birds, bats, snakes, raccoons, and vertebrates other than specified rodents - Services include initial setup, weekly and monthly inspections, emergency and non-emergency hourly treatments, pest reduction mapping, and detailed reporting - Equipment pricing required (cost-plus basis) - Service Zones and Locations: - 11 service zones covering all Minnesota counties and select federally owned facilities - Notable locations: Arden Hills Army Training Site, St. Paul 55th Civil Support Team Armory, multiple state government buildings in Saint Paul and Arden Hills - Requirements: - Minimum five years of commercial pest control experience - Proof of licensure and compliance with workforce and equal pay regulations - Use of EPA-registered pesticides and adherence to integrated pest management practices - Contractors must be able to service a wide range of building sizes and types - Estimated Contract Value: - $500,000 to $600,000 annually (no minimum or maximum guarantee) - Period of Performance: - Initial term of two years, with option to extend up to three additional years - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; open to all qualified pest control service providers

Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) aims to establish contracts for statewide pest control services targeting insects and commensal and semi-commensal rodents. The contracts will be available to all State Agencies, Boards, Commissions, and Cooperative Purchasing Venture members. Services may be temporary or ongoing, with varying service locations, building sizes, and service levels. The contract term is anticipated from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2028, with an option to extend up to 36 months. The estimated contract value for one year is between $500,000 and $600,000.
