Description
The U.S. Navy, in partnership with the Defense Innovation Unit, is seeking modular, communication-resilient, rapidly fieldable capabilities to neutralize near-surface, volume, and bottom maritime mine threats. The challenge focuses on increasing the speed and reducing the cost of mine countermeasure missions while removing personnel and manned assets from danger. Solutions must be mature technologies (TRL 7 or higher) and capable of integration on a Navy-determined Uncrewed Surface Vessel. The challenge includes competitive sprints, in-water testing, and prizes up to $3 million per mission track.
