Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is requesting bids for the modernization of the elevator at the Sports Center located at 1212, rue Sanguinet, Montréal, Québec. The project involves replacing key components such as the braking system, motor, speed control, emergency brakes, suspension cables, transformer, and variable frequency and voltage drive systems. The elevator is the only one serving the pavilion and is used for transporting persons and goods. The work excludes the replacement of cabin finishes and includes reinstallation of some existing equipment, cleaning, and maintenance. The elevator must remain operational during working hours except from November 9, 2026, to January 8, 2027, when it will be out of service for upgrades.
