This posted announcement is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR Overhaul 5.101.
The Mission Installation Contracting Command - Fort Leavenworth intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Scope: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications to replace 186 windows around the North elevation of Building 52.
Additionally, 6 “non-standard” lunette/multi lite windows will be repaired and 15mechanical openings that will be replaced or repaired in-kind with MAPES Panels or louvers. B52 is ahistoric building and all work must conform to the Secretary of Interior’s standard and guidelines for the rehabilitation of historic properties. This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors in a wide variety of construction trades. The windows are located on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the building.
Anticipated an award will be made to a responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation for bids; will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. This anticipated contract will be Firm Fixed Price.
