This opportunity seeks stewardship and forest restoration services for the Moose Run project in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, Sulphur Ranger District, Colorado. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Stewardship Contracting Branch - Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, Sulphur Ranger District - Eligibility: - Only companies approved under the R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (RMRP) Stewardship BPA may respond - Primary Services Requested: - Cutting and removal of live/dead Lodgepole pine and Engelmann Spruce sawtimber and non-sawtimber (53 acres) - Mastication of young Lodgepole pine regeneration (43 acres) - Timber/product removal (estimated 433 CCF) - Comprehensive road maintenance (including slide/slump repair, ditch cleaning, surface blading, surfacing repair, drainage structure maintenance, dust abatement, vegetation cutting, waterbar and barrier installation/removal, surface treatment, drainage excavation, and culvert installation) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Work is focused on hazardous fuels reduction in the Wildland Urban Interface near Fraser, CO - Strict quality standards: 98% minimum for timber removal, 90% for mastication - Compliance with environmental laws and detailed quality inspections required - Site visit available for interested parties - Quantities: - 53 acres of timber cutting/removal - 43 acres of mastication - 433 CCF of timber removal - No specific OEMs or commercial product part numbers are identified; all work is service-based and performed by eligible BPA holders - **Period of Performance: - Work begins within 10 days of notice to proceed and must be completed by January 31, 2028 - Normal operating season is July 1 to November 15, with possible operations outside this window - Locations: - Moose Run IRSC project area, Fraser Experimental Forest, Grand County, CO - Sulphur Ranger District office, Granby, CO - USDA-FS Stewardship Contracting Branch, Washington, DC

Description

This procurement is restricted to the approved companies eligible for call orders under the  R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (RMRP) Stewardship BPA for the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in the state of Colorado. This requirement may be awarded to one vendor as a BPA Call Order against BPA's previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice that are not eligible for awards under the R2 RMRP Stewardship BPA.

A site visit is scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026 to view the project area and discuss the objectives of this contract. The meeting will take place at 12:00 pm Mountain Time at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex, 220 County Rd 522, Fraser, CO 80442.
