This procurement supports the Department of Defense's need for Advanced Combat Helmet, Second Generation (ACH GEN II) for multiple military branches. - DLA Troop Support, Clothing and Textiles Supply Chain is procuring 25,000 ACH GEN II helmets in four sizes - Size Small: 3,500 units (Part Number: 8470-01-662-5030) - Size Medium: 9,000 units (Part Number: 8470-01-662-5038) - Size Large: 9,500 units (Part Number: 8470-01-662-5026) - Size Extra-Large: 3,000 units (Part Number: 8470-01-662-5035) - Current manufacturers: Avon Protection Ceradyne, LLC and Gentex Corporation - New awards planned to ArmorSource, LLC and another vendor to expand production capacity - Helmets provide ballistic protection for Army, National Guard, Navy, Air Force, and Marines - Procurement is justified under FAR 6.302-3 for industrial mobilization - Contract includes a base year plus four one-year option periods - Ceradyne's last option ends February 2026, deliveries through December 2026 - Gentex's third option invoked October 2025, deliveries through April 2027 - Follow-on solicitation planned for March 2026 - Place of performance and contracting office: DLA Troop Support, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
