Description

The New England Fishery Management Council is scheduling a public meeting of its Scallop Committee to consider actions affecting New England fisheries in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The committee will develop recommendations for Scallop Research Set-Aside priorities for 2027/2028 and 2028/2029, discuss Scallop Framework 42, and develop recommendations for sequencing Scallop Strategic Plan work items for 2027-2029. Recommendations from this group will be brought to the full Council for formal consideration and action, if appropriate. The meeting will be held on June 3, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Providence, Rhode Island, and will also be accessible via webinar.
