Description

The New England Fishery Management Council is scheduling a public meeting of its Scallop Advisory Panel to consider actions affecting New England fisheries in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The panel will develop recommendations for Scallop Research Set-Aside priorities for 2027/2028 and 2028/2029, discuss Scallop Framework 42, and develop recommendations for sequencing the Scallop Long-Term Strategic Plan work items for 2027-2029. Recommendations from this group will be brought to the full Council for formal consideration and action, if appropriate. The meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Providence, Providence, RI.
