Description

The designation of Lebanon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), originally set to expire on May 27, 2026, is automatically extended to November 27, 2026. This extension is due to the Secretary not making a determination on Lebanon's TPS status at least 60 days before the expiration, impacted by rapidly unfolding events in Lebanon in March 2026. The extension allows current TPS beneficiaries from Lebanon to maintain their status and employment authorization through November 27, 2026, provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements. The Department of Homeland Security will review country conditions before the next statutory deadline to decide on further extension or termination.
