Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on Lake Erie to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment during a military training operation involving aircraft and fast boats. The safety zone covers a 1 nautical mile radius from a specified point and restricts entry unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Eastern Great Lakes. The rule is effective from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on June 3 and June 4, 2026. This temporary measure ensures safety during the military exercises and is enforced under the authority of 46 U.S.C. 70034.
