The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Owyhee Field Office in Marsing, Idaho, intends to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the effects of the proposed DeLamar Mine Project by DeLamar Mining Company in Owyhee County, Idaho. The project involves expanding two existing open pit mines, constructing haul and access roads, heap leach facilities, rock storage facilities, and ancillary facilities, with an estimated 2,915 total acres of disturbance over 19 years. The BLM is initiating the public scoping process to solicit comments on the scope of analysis, potential alternatives, and relevant information. Public comments are requested by June 29, 2026, and public meetings will be held to gather input.
