Description
The FAA is withdrawing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) published on September 15, 2025, which would have applied to Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG Model RB211 Trent 768-60, 772-60, and 772B-60 engines. The NPRM required removal from service of affected low-pressure compressor (LPC) blades and replacement with serviceable parts. Since the NPRM was issued, additional LPC blades affected by the unsafe condition were identified and not included in the original service material. The FAA is currently evaluating further rulemaking action and has withdrawn the NPRM during this evaluation.
