The City of Fairhope, Alabama is seeking bids for the CR-28 Water Line Relocation project, covering the replacement and installation of water infrastructure along CR-28 from Long Road to Red Star Drive. - Government Buyer: - City of Fairhope, Public Utilities and Purchasing departments - Project managed through the City Services and Public Utilities Building - OEMs and Vendors: - Hydra-Stop (notably for the Insta-Valve 250 insertion valve) - Inserta (as an alternative for insertion valves) - Products and Quantities: - Approximately 1,350 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main (Class 350) - 100 linear feet of 12-inch steel encasement pipe (ASTM A252, Grade 2) - 1,000 lbs of ductile iron fittings - 5 gate valves (6" with stem extension and box) - 1 insertion valve (6", Hydra-Stop Insta-Valve 250 or Inserta) - 3 fire hydrants (complete with riser and shoe) - 3 water meter and box resets - 4 service taps (3 on same side, 1 on opposite side of main) - 500 SF geotextile filter blanket, 100 CY topsoil, 200 SY solid sodding, 0.5 acre each of temporary seeding and mulching, 200 LF silt fence, 200 LF wattle - Temporary traffic control and additional items as directed - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Hydra-Stop insertion valves must be installed by certified installers; Inserta valves are also permitted - All products must comply with NSF/ANSI Standard 61 and 372 for drinking water systems - Compliance with Buy America requirements for certain components - Project must meet all applicable Alabama state laws and licensing requirements - Liquidated damages apply for schedule overruns - Place of Performance: - Work to be performed in Fairhope, Baldwin County, Alabama, with delivery and administration at the City Services and Public Utilities Building, 555 South Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532
