Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO TSI INCORPORATED TO ASSIST THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR'S (DOL), MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION (MSHA), MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ENFORCEMENT.
This effort is to procure TSI Incorporated Quest Edge 8M Noise Dosimeters (Part Number: TSI 5EG8M-BT-D) and Microphones (Part Number: MIC-EG8) that TSI Incorporated has created specifically for MSHA. The TSI Incorporated Quest Edge 8M Noise Dosimeter and Microphone are the only products for this requirement that have received MSHA approval as intrinsically safe for use in underground coal mines.
This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement by Friday, 05/15/2026, 5:00 pm ET, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via email to: proietto.ryan.v@dol.gov and jackson.alicia.m@dol.gov. The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the products required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these products. The Government reserves the right to cancel this requirement.
