The Regional District of Central Kootenay is seeking responses from qualified Design-Build firms to be pre-qualified for a subsequent Request for Proposals for the Castlegar & District Arena and Walking Track Project. The project involves designing and constructing a new arena with an NHL-size ice rink and an overhead walking track integrated with the existing community complex. The maximum design-build contract price is up to $15,000,000, including PST and excluding GST. The project is conditional on multiple approvals including bylaws, referendum, and board approval, and will not proceed without these.
