The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to perform comprehensive tree maintenance at two historic sites: - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, National Park Service, NER Services MABO (Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA) - Locations of Work: - George Washington Birthplace National Monument (1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach, VA 22443) - Thomas Stone National Historic Site (6655 Rose Hill Road, Port Tobacco, MD 20677) - Scope of Services: - Pruning and removal of at-risk, storm-damaged, and hazardous trees - Selective tree felling, topping, and debris removal - Stump grinding and flush cutting - Brush clearing and site rehabilitation - Work must comply with safety, environmental, and historical preservation standards - Quantities and Areas: - Pruning and removal of trees across multiple park areas, with specific tasks including: - Pruning: 14 (GEWA Visitor Center), 35 (GEWA Historic/Farm Area), 6 (THST Visitor Center), 1 (THST Entrance Road), 15 (THST Mansion Area), 4 (THST Mansion Road), 6 (THST Cemetery Area), 8 (GEWA Popes Creek Trail/Front Field/Qtrs/Triangle), 100 (THST Cemetery Trail/Maint. Roadsides/Water Plant/Sign) - Tree removal: 5 (GEWA Visitor Center, 8"-12" DBH), 127 (GEWA Popes Creek Trail/Bridges Cr. Rd./Qtrs/Triangle, 20"-36" DBH), 3 (THST Cemetery Trail/Maint. Road/Pump Station, 10"-30" DBH) - Stump grinding: 7 (THST Entrance Road/Mansion Road/Grounds) - Brush clearing: 1 (GEWA Visitor Center) - Unique Requirements: - Work must be completed within 45 calendar days, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays - Contractor must coordinate around environmental and special events - Strict adherence to historical preservation and safety standards - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; this is a service-based procurement - Set-Aside: - Opportunity is set aside for SBA participants
