The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking sources for the overhaul and maintenance of Caterpillar (CAT) marine diesel engines on its cutters. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, Base Alameda, CA (CG-DCS-SEA-C) - OEM Highlight: - Caterpillar (CAT) is the required OEM for all engines and parts - Products/Services Requested: - Remanufactured CAT main propulsion diesel engines (models D353, D379, D3304, D3306, D3406, D3412, D3508, D3608) - Estimated annual quantity: 29-38 engines - Includes CAMPAR testing, engine timing synchronization, valve rotators, vibration analysis, and renewal of OEM parts (block machining, governors, power pack, connecting rods, turbocharger, exhaust manifold, engine mounts) - Authorized Caterpillar technical services for repair, maintenance, and overhaul of CAT engines onboard Coast Guard cutters - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Respondents must demonstrate access to CAT proprietary components - Minimum of 6 years of experience with CAT marine diesel engines - All work must use OEM parts and follow OEM periodicity - Contract Structure: - Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with one base year and four option years
