N66001-26-Q-6170 - Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Order to the University of California, San Diego This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR (Overhaul) 5.101. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacifics intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to University of California, San Diego. Entity ID UYTTZT6G9DT1, CAGE Code 50854, of 9500 Gilman DR La Jolla, California 92093-0021, United States. The requirement is for the procurement of radiological support testing of Radiation Detection Indication, and Computation (RADIAC) detectors and systems using radioactive materials. These shall include gamma ray sources and neutron sources from the contractors inventory. The testing activities shall involve standard acceptance testing of detectors to system testing for algorithm performance and concept development. The contractor will handle the radioactive materials and establish radiological safe boundaries from which personnel will operate. The contractor must be approved under the RADIAC Test Plan and local to San Diego County. The Government intends to negotiate solely with University of California, San Diego. under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1905 and 3305 as implemented by FAR (Overhaul) 13.101(b). FAR (Overhaul) Part 13, Simplified Procedures for Non-Commercial Acquisitions, applies. However, all responsible San Diego County sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be made available upon request.
