The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA), is seeking a sole-source, fixed-price maintenance contract for specialized laboratory equipment: - Government Buyer: - National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA), Office of Logistics and Multiple Acquisition Operations - OEMs and Vendors: - AB Sciex LLC (primary OEM for QTRAP mass spectrometers) - Shimadzu (OEM for LC pumps) - Peak Scientific (OEM for Peak Genius 3031 gas generator) - Products/Services Requested: - Maintenance and repair for: - Two (2) AB Sciex QTRAP 5500 Mass Spectrometers (part numbers AU21210910, AU28501202) - One (1) AB Sciex QTRAP 6500 Mass Spectrometer (part number CG21771607) - Six (6) Shimadzu LC-30AD Pumps (multiple serial numbers) - One (1) Peak Genius 3031 Gas Generator (part number A16-09-049) - Preventive maintenance, software and firmware upgrades, troubleshooting, and in-house staff training by OEM-certified technicians - One preventive maintenance visit per year and 1 business day onsite response for repairs - Telephone and online support during business hours - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All maintenance and support must be performed by OEM-certified technicians - Brand-specific, non-competitive procurement for AB Sciex, Shimadzu, and Peak Scientific equipment - Includes software legacy and vendor maintenance plans - Place of Performance: - NIH NIA facilities in Bethesda, MD (BRC/08CLab) - Contracting office located at 6100 Executive Blvd., Room 6B05, Bethesda, MD

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to sole source for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.(ii) The solicitation number is 75N98026Q00456 and the solicitation is issued as a Notice of Intent (NOI) of a non-competitive (notice of intent) to award a contract or purchase order without providing for full or open competition (including brand-name).This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the FAR Part 12.603; Streamlined solicitation for commercial products or commercial services, and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold, and the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 and the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii).The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Acquisitions, intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed-price purchase order without providing for full and open competition (Including brand-name) to AB Sciex LLC 1201 Radio Rd REDWOOD CITY, CA 94065-1217 Phone: +1 (877) 740-2129 Fax: +1 (800) 343-1346 for a maintenance contract for the AbSciex two (2) QTRAP 5500 MS, One (1) QTrap 6500 and all its components including Shimadzu LC pumps and the mass spec software updates.
