Omaha MRWRRF Administration and Operations Buildings Roof Replacement Solicitation

The City of Omaha Public Works Department is seeking bids for the replacement of roofing systems at the Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility (MRWRRF) Administration and Operations Buildings. - Project Scope: - Remove existing Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane from both administration and operations buildings - Replace any damaged polyisocyanurate board insulation (ASTM C 1289, Type I) - Install new 1/2" DensDeck protection board or approved equal over insulation - Install new 60 mil, white, fabric-reinforced TPO Roofing Membrane System - Install new metal edge flashing, cedar or CCA .40 treated southern yellow pine blocking, and exterior grade weather-resistant plywood as needed - Adjust or replace roof drains and piping as necessary (licensed plumber required) - All rooftop electrical work (disconnect/reconnect) must be performed by a licensed electrician; any mechanical work (e.g., vent stacks, equipment supports) by a licensed mechanical contractor - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): - Acceptable TPO membrane manufacturers: Carlisle SynTec, Firestone, GAF, GenFlex, Johns Manville, Sarnafil, Stevens, Versico - Requirements: - Roofing system must meet a 20-year manufacturer warranty; contractor must provide a 2-year warranty on other work - Contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the work - Preference for Small and Emerging Small Businesses (SEB); SEB-authorized contractors prioritized if bids are received - City of Omaha Class A or B General Contractor License required - Bid security (5% of total bid if $50,000 or more) and performance bond required - Project is exempt from Nebraska State Sales and Use Taxes on incorporated materials and equipment - Location: - Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility, 5600 S 10th St, Omaha, NE 68107 - Period of Performance: - Work to begin after Notice to Proceed, anticipated after contract award - Substantial completion required within 100 days, full completion within 130 days of start - No specific part numbers provided; bidders must comply with all technical and warranty specifications

The City of Omaha is soliciting bids for the removal of the existing Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Roofing Membrane, replacement of damaged insulation, installation of a ½" protection board over the insulation, and installation of a new TPO Roofing Membrane System at the Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility located at 5600 10th St, Omaha, NE 68107. The project includes the entire administration building roof and the operations building roof. The anticipated notice to proceed date is July 13, 2026. The bid includes a Small and Emerging Small Business (SEB) reserve, and only SEB authorized bids will be considered if received.
