Description

This procurement involves the repair of a 640 linear feet groin structure in Buxton, North Carolina near the old location of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The work includes removal of old debris and metal sheet piling, installation of new PZ-40 metal sheet piling, placement of core stone (1-2 tons) and larger armor stone (10-13 tons), installation of marine mattresses to prevent rock slumping and scouring, and pouring a concrete groin cap. The project is managed by the Finance department of Dare County, NC, with a start date of May 7, 2026, and a close date of June 1, 2026.
