El Paso Water Utilities (EPWater) is seeking proposals for the supply and delivery of Liquid Ferric Chloride for use in drinking water treatment at multiple facilities in El Paso and Anthony, Texas. - Government Buyer: - El Paso Water Utilities Public Service Board (EPWater), Purchasing & Contracts Administration - OEMs and Vendors: - Current supplier: Kemira Water Solutions, Inc. - Open to all qualified manufacturers and vendors meeting technical requirements - Products/Services Requested: - Bulk Liquid Ferric Chloride Solution - Estimated annual quantity: 5,100,000 pounds - Minimum 13% ferric iron content - 38-42% Ferric Chloride by weight - Must meet ANSI/NSF Standard 60 and AWWA Standard B407 - Delivered in tanker trucks (~4,500 gallons per load), 3-4 times weekly - Delivery locations: Jonathan Rogers Water Treatment Plant, Upper Valley Water Treatment Plant, Robertson/Umbenhauer Water Treatment Plant - Owner's Allowance for Unanticipated Work - $500,000 set aside for additional work as directed by EPWater - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to minimum iron content and AWWA/ANSI/NSF standards - Evaluation based on experience, cost per pound of iron, and reliability - No bid security or performance/payment bond required - Contract term: 1 year with four 1-year renewal options, plus possible 6-month extension - Quantities are estimates; actual purchases may vary - Open to both resident and non-resident offerors - Proposal opening will be live-streamed for transparency
