Description

The U.S. International Trade Commission has instituted investigation No. TA-201-78 (Monitoring) to prepare a report on monitoring developments in the domestic fine denier polyester staple fiber industry. This is pursuant to section 204(a)(2) of the Trade Act of 1974 following the President's decision to impose a safeguard measure on imports of fine denier polyester staple fiber as described in Proclamation 10857 of November 8, 2024. The investigation includes a scheduled hearing and aims to assess the progress and efforts of the domestic industry in adjusting to import competition. The report will be submitted to the President and Congress by November 23, 2026.
