Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of South Carolina on July 23, 2025. The revision updates all references to reflect the restructuring of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) into the South Carolina Department of Public Health and the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (DES). The changes are administrative in nature and do not interfere with any applicable Clean Air Act requirements. The EPA is seeking public comments on this proposed rule by June 29, 2026.
