Description

Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified human remains of at least four Native American individuals with cultural affiliations to several Indian Tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations. The remains were acquired for teaching purposes and have been evaluated osteologically to determine their Native American ancestry and possible geographic origins. Repatriation of the remains may occur on or after June 29, 2026, with requests for repatriation to be sent to OHSU.
