Description

This notice announces that New York University, College of Dentistry (NYUCD) has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified human remains of at least four individuals with cultural affiliation to Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The remains were transferred from the Museum of the American Indian to NYUCD and have connections to tribes such as the Delaware Nation, Oklahoma; Delaware Tribe of Indians; and the Stockbridge Munsee Community, Wisconsin. Repatriation of these remains may occur on or after June 29, 2026.
