Description
The Research Enhancement Award Program (REAP) supports small scale research grants at institutions with limited NIH funding, focusing on biomedical research experiences for health professional, undergraduate, and graduate students. Eligible institutions must award baccalaureate or advanced science degrees and have received no more than $6 million per year in NIH support in 4 of the last 7 fiscal years. This program supports investigator-initiated mechanistic and/or minimal risk clinical trials aligned with NIH institute missions. Minimal risk clinical trials are defined as those without FDA oversight, not intended to establish efficacy, and with low risk of physical or psychological harm.
