The Department of the Air Force is seeking information from industry on an Intelligent Shift Scheduler Tool to support 24/7 continuous operations, with an initial focus on Security Forces. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, HAF/A1Z (Headquarters Air Force, Directorate of Security Forces) - Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), FA7014 AFDW PK, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the opportunity - Products/Services Requested: - Intelligent Shift Scheduler Tool (software solution) - Automates and optimizes shift scheduling for 24/7 operations - Ensures compliance with rest mandates and rotation policies - Incorporates evidence-based scheduling and fatigue management - Tracks manning, qualifications, and dynamic leave/roster changes - Replaces manual Excel-based scheduling - Must be accessible via AFNet, support CAC/PKI authentication, and handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) - Deployment options include COTS SaaS or custom-coded solutions aligned with Air Force enterprise frameworks - Vendors must provide sustainment costs and support models - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Initial pilot at a single installation, with potential for enterprise-wide and cross-functional expansion - Solution must reduce administrative burden on Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) - Must comply with Air Force IT security and data handling requirements - No part numbers or purchase quantities are specified

Description

Background: Current scheduling for 24/7 continuous operations is largely managed via manual Excel spreadsheets, leading to sub-optimal schedule management, increased fatigue, and heavy administrative burdens on Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs). The objective is to deploy a solution that ensures compliance with rest mandates, incorporates evidence-based principles for shift scheduling, optimizes manning based on qualifications, and handles dynamic roster changes.
