Argonne National Laboratory, operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC for the Department of Energy, is seeking a contractor to provide unarmed, uniformed Protective Force (security guard) services for its main campus in Lemont, Illinois and nearby off-site locations. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science - Argonne National Laboratory, operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC - Services Requested: - Unarmed, uniformed Protective Force services for deterrence, access control, patrols, emergency preparedness, and maintenance of order - Continuous 24/7 coverage at key posts including Central Alarm Station and designated security posts - Special event staffing, surge augmentation (including K-9 teams and armed personnel if required), and escort services - Security force management, training (DOE-approved courses), and maintenance - Strict adherence to State of Illinois licensing (225ILCS447), DOE directives (including DOE O 473.3A), and Laboratory standards for uniforms, grooming, and reporting - Key personnel required: Project Manager, Field Operations Manager, Administrative Support Manager - Mandatory security clearances and certifications for key roles - Unique/Notable Requirements: - 30-day transition period for contract start - Fixed-price and labor-hour CLINs for transition and special event staffing - Quarterly performance, incident, exception, and OSHA reporting - Coverage includes Argonne National Laboratory, Child Care Center, Argonne Park, and two off-site locations within 1.5 miles of the main site - No OEMs or product vendors are specified, as this is a services procurement

Description

Solicitation for unarmed, uniformed security guard services (Protective Force services) for the Argonne National Laboratory site in Lemont, IL 60439 and two off-site locations within 1.5 miles from the Laboratory. All services and activities performed under the terms of this contract must meet or exceed, but not limited to, State of Illinois, United States Department of Energy (DOE), and Laboratory requirements, including, but not limited to, 225ILCS447 Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith 2004, State of Illinois Security Contractor and guard licensing requirements, and all applicable DOE Directives to include DOE O 473.3A Protection Program Operations.
