The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate, is planning a sole source procurement for a specialized truck scale system to support the Automotive Instrumentation Division at Aberdeen Test Center, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, Interior Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate - Automotive Instrumentation Division, Aberdeen Test Center, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command - OEM Highlight: - Rice Lake is the sole OEM specified for the SURVIVOR OTR Concrete Deck Truck Scale system - Products Requested: - Three Rice Lake SURVIVOR OTR Concrete Deck Truck Scales, customized to fit existing equipment and scale pit - One 28-foot x 15-foot truck scale (200,000 lb capacity, 0.5% threshold accuracy, 0.1% objective accuracy, 20 lb increments) - Two 2-foot x 7.5-foot scales (50,000 lb capacity each, 0.5% threshold accuracy, 0.1% objective accuracy, 5 lb increments) - All scales are flush mounted with less than 1/8-inch gap to surrounding coping - Services Requested: - Installation and integration, including all required concrete work, certified factory-trained labor, documentation, schematics, integration supplies, tools, test equipment, transportation, and integration of the control system for seamless compatibility with current equipment - Notable Requirements: - Customization to fit existing equipment and infrastructure - Certified labor and factory-trained personnel required for installation and integration - All work to be performed at a federal military test facility

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEThis synopsis/notice of intent to sole source a three platform segment Rice Lake SURVIVOR ® OTR Concrete Deck Truck Scale is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 5.101 and 12.102. This notice advises the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to only one source, under the authority of RFO 12.201-1 and 41 U.S.C. 1901.
