NOAA is seeking manufacturers for a ship set of propulsion propellers for the NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), Eastern Acquisition Division, Norfolk, VA - Technical requirements reference the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Department of the Navy - Products/Services Requested: - One ship set of propulsion propellers (1 left hand, 1 right hand) for the NOAA Ship Ferdinand R. Hassler - Must match NAVSEA Drawing 245-8445988 and NOAA Drawing M286-243-FM01-03 - Specifications: 90" diameter x 87.05" pitch @ 0.70R, 5 blades, Material: ABS Type 2 or Type CF-3 - ABS certified foundry manufacture within the USA required - Includes ABS drawing approval and survey - Includes one set of edge gauges for inspection - Scrap credit for two propellers - Preservation and packaging must meet MIL-DTL-2845E Level A standards - Additional items referenced in packaging standards: propeller accessories, main shafting, propeller hubs, gauges, and special tools - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Propellers must be manufactured in the USA by an ABS certified foundry - ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) drawing approval and survey required - Packaging, preservation, and marking must comply with MIL-DTL-2845E Level A - Edge gauges for inspection and scrap credit for two propellers are required - All technical and quality requirements are detailed in referenced NAVSEA and NOAA drawings - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the documents, but the opportunity is open to qualified manufacturers able to meet the technical and certification requirements.
