As per RFO FAR 6.302-2 (b) (2) Unusual and compelling urgency, this contract was not awarded competitively.  On Sunday, 17 May 2026, at approximately 1430, Facility 149 sustained a fire incident during off-duty hours. While the fire suppression system mitigated the fire, the resulting water damage exceeded organic Civil Engineering (CE) capabilities, necessitating the engagement of emergency contractor services. This critical incident necessitated a rapid response to mitigate further risk of damage including mold growth and structural damage that would affect the entire building.
