Description

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for a new information collection to evaluate the Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) Competitive Program. The evaluation will involve a web-based survey of 593 eligible Tribes or Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) and qualitative interviews with up to 30 Tribal staff and contractors. The purpose is to assess how well the IHBG competitive program meets its goals of spurring new affordable housing construction and enabling smaller tribes to build sooner, as well as to identify opportunities for program improvement. Public comments on the proposed information collection are invited for 60 days.
